The Indian stock markets performed well on Monday, July 15th, 2024, despite weak global trends.
The Nifty 50 index, which tracks the performance of the 50 largest companies listed on the National Stock Exchange of India, ended near 24,600, after reaching an intraday high of 24,635. This is close to a record high.
The BSE Sensex, which tracks the performance of the 30 largest companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, gained 145 points, or 0.18%, to close at 80,665.
